He is very raw. There is a lot of upside there with his length and ability defensively. Im not sure what he brings fits perfectly in the MY scheme so he would need to develop. With that in mind, VT will need help at the 4/5 spots next season if both Mutts and Aluma leave. If we are to assume N'Guessan, Ojiako and Kidd develop enough to be "the guy" in those roles, then youd still need 2 more players to fill out those spots.

I am betting that Nickel would start out as a 4 at VT and slide into that slot, so you'd be left with one 4/5 spot remaining. So you have to ask yourself, do you like this kid better than Clowney? What about better than Huff? I think the answer would be a solid No to both of those questions. You cant take all 3, and Id argue taking 2 would be a bad idea as well unless the 2 were Clowney and Huff, and even that is pushing it. Taking 2 takes you out of any additions from the transfer portal that could be more of an immediate help if any of fhe current players are not ready for an increased role.
